If you clicked on this post because you have artist's block, then you are in the same boat as me. I am currently struggling with ideas of what to draw and paint, but these are three tips that help me!
1) Go on your Phone!
You are probably like what? Isn't that exactly what I shouldn't be doing? But trust me, it works! I recommend using apps and social media platforms for inspiration. If you don't already have Instagram or VSCO, I strongly suggest downloading them. They have a lot of great pictures!
Pro Tip: Always take a screenshot of pictures that you like and add them to your favourites album, so you can always go back to them.

2) Buy a sketchbook!
Every artist should have a sketchbook! They are perfect to doodle in, jot down notes, and just sketch! They are also great to experiment in and map out your ideas. (I should probably use mine more often.)
Pro Tip: Bring one when you travel. Sketching is a great way to relieve stress and boredom!
3) Look Around You!
Anything can be your inspiration. People, animals, everyday objects.... the list goes on.
Going on walks will help clear your mind, and you might find something interesting on your trips.
That's it! Those were my three easy tips, and I hope that you will be able to use them! Good luck!
(And here is one of my paintings that was inspired by Instagram during my artist's block!)
